ai research engineer

I build the bridge between papers and pipelines. Most of what I do is making interesting models survive contact with real systems. Invertible neural nets for inverse problems, retrieval & graph systems for messy data, and the unglamorous infrastructure that keeps it all honest.

about

I'm Abe, a Dutch AI research engineer based in Utrecht. I work at the seam between research and production: working with newest machine learning research and AI applications, and the unglamorous infrastructure that turns a clever idea into something an engineer will sign off on.

Off the clock I build small games at weekend gamejams, read more history of science than is probably reasonable, and tinker with whatever's blinking in the home lab.
